How to Make An Iced Frappe In A Blender

Who needs Starbucks, anyway? This creamy iced coffee is the perfect homemade treat to get your frappe fix no matter what your day looks like. Learn how to make your favourite summer drink from your very own kitchen in four easy steps. All you need is a few simple ingredients and that frappe coffee craving! Serves 1 Ingredients: Instant espresso coffee Milk Sugar Ice cubes  Optional toppings: Whipped cream Caramel or chocolate sauce Honeycomb pieces, chocolate sprinkles, crushed nuts Cinnamon powder Ice cream (if you’re feeling hungry!) A Note On Toppings: An iced frappe is good, but you know what’s even better? An iced frappe with cream, sauce and sprinkles! Here’s where you can really make your frappe pop. Top off your frappe with whipped cream for an indulgent creamy layer (or ice cream if you’re in the mood for a sundae), and drizzle your drink with a sauce of choice. We’d recommend a caramel drizzle or a chocolate sauce to complement the coffee flavours, but feel free to get experimental here to find your perfect combination. You can even line the cup with sauce before you add your drink to keep the sweetness coming all the way through. If you like a bit of spice, then add cinnamon powder on top for a fiery kick. Like a bit of crunch? Turn your frappe into a dessert with honeycomb pieces, crushed hazelnuts or chocolate sprinkles. P.S. Don’t forget to send us your favourite frappe creations!  Method: Put the kettle on and make an espresso with your instant coffee. Leave your coffee in the fridge for a few minutes to give it time to chill down. This time in the fridge stops your frappe from becoming too warm and melting the ice. Use this time to get out your blender and other ingredients. Top tip: If you like a daily iced coffee, keep a pitcher of brewed coffee in the fridge during the summer. Time saving, and a perfect way to perk up your afternoon!  Pour your espresso into your blender and top up with 6-7 ice cubes, enough milk to fill your glass of choice, and a teaspoon of sugar (you can always stir in more at the end if you prefer it sweeter). Need a blender? We’ve got plenty of models here: https://geepas.co.uk/collections/blenders-smoothie-makers Blend on a low speed, gradually increasing the speed until foamy and the ice has broken down into slush. If you prefer a smoother drink, keep blending until the ice has been fully melted. Pour into a glass, add your toppings and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Electric Shaver VS Razor: What’s best for you?

Electric Shaver VS Razor: What’s best for you?

Electric Shaver VS Razor: What’s best for you? The electric shaver vs razor debate continues across many workplaces and pubs, if there’s one thing that’s a constant (other than death and taxes), then it’s men needing to shave. All men seem to figure out their own way of making the process more convenient for themselves, as it’s just one of those things that none of us can avoid but none of us love to do. However, one thing that people often do not figure out is whether they need an electric shaver or a razor.   Electric Shavers are fast (technically) It’s simple, shaving with an electric razor takes less time, you’ll save 2 – 3 minutes by using an electric shaver, and a lot more time if you’ve gone full Gandalf during lockdown.   Controlling the length Electric shavers offer a lot more versatility then your standard razor, some men like to have that designer stubble look, in recent years beards have become more popular than ever but its important to keep it nice and neat. Most electric razors have different trim settings while wet shave razors only have their one, baby face setting.   The Cost Its no secret that electric shavers are more expensive than your standard razor BUT in the long run you WILL save money (and the environment)  60% of men shaving with cartridge razors are using up to 4 shaving products daily and over half are averagely spending a staggering £10 - £20 per month (on products) which averages £180 a year. When you consider a standard razor body is £10 and if you’re changing the cartridge every week as advised, you’re looking at roughly £140 a year on cartridges alone. Overall, it’s costing more than you likely realise. Electric shavers: 70% of men using electric shavers are using up to 4 shaving products daily. The rest just use traditional soap and water. Overall, 58% are spending under £10 per month on shaving products. Plus, they are not having to spend roughly £140 on replacement blades a year.   What about you? And the planet? We know every person is different, from the amount of hair that grows, to the thickness and colour but ask yourself. How much could you save going electric? And what effect are disposable razors having on our planet? In 2018 approximately 5.5 million people in the UK were using disposable razors. It doesn’t take much to work out that that is a vast amount of plastic being used and then thrown away each week. Whilst there is not any talk of banning disposable razors (in the same way that the ban on plastic straws, drinks stirrers and cotton buds has come into force recently), there really should be. So its a win win situation, you will save money and the planet so what's your excuse?
Baking Mad! 27 million brits turned to baking during lockdown.

Baking Mad! 27 million brits turned to baking during lockdown.

Food glorious food Social distance and being stuck at home has spawned a new generation of home bakers. A survey from YouGov has revealed that 53% of brits released their inner baking skills in the first two months of lockdown. The most popular bake during lockdown was bread with a staggering 37% of brits having a go, second most popular is cookies with 34% of people attempting this classic while only 23% baked brownies. The survey also found baking is now popular with adults of all age ranges, with 60% of 18-24-year-olds baking during the early lockdown period, 19% of 25-34 year-olds having invested in new baking equipment, or planning to invest soon, and 47% of 35-44-year-olds saying they believe it is a good activity to do with children.   Comfort Baking From a simple homemade bread loaf to a delicately baked cake, it's one of the ways people are coping up with the crisis that has engulfed millions across the globe. Even though the baking tips are helpful in avoiding the crowds outside, there is also a psychological reason why people are turning to baking during the lockdown. Can you guess why? In many ways, baking and cooking have been termed to be therapeutic mediums. Think about it this way, you consciously put in efforts, spend time religiously waiting for the output and the final result is something positive to look forward to. In stressful times, this can be one of the ways you manage stress and anxiety levels. 26% say they find baking to be relaxing and therapeutic, and 40% of 18-24-year-olds say that baking has helped with their stress levels during the uncertainty of the lockdown period. Everyone you see is baking bread or whipping up desserts and baked goods - social media has turned into a mini #masterchef competition. While the coronavirus crisis has brought out everybody's worst fears, it has also churned out an increasing number of home bakers which many didn't even know about With another lockdown looming over the horizon, why not take this opportunity to start a new productive, family friendly hobby? Trimmer Vs. Shaver: What's the difference?

Trimmer Vs. Shaver: What's the difference?

Over the last few years, men have begun to take a serious interest in grooming their hair in all types of ways! Beards, moustaches and even sideburns are trending on social media, that means there are more devices than ever, and it can be confusing to know exactly what you need for the look you want. There are many hair removal devices available. The most widely used are electric shavers and trimmers, but a lot of men don’t know the difference. Choosing which of these two shaving devices can be confusing so we thought we would write up a quick guide to decide if you need a “trimmer” or a “shaver”.  So, what’s the difference? Electric Trimmers Trimmers are used to perfecting and maintaining a specific look. Trimmers are for men who want to get their beard and moustache looking just right and are willing to spend the time to achieve it. They are the best choice if you plan on keeping facial hair in line but not getting rid of it entirely. Trimmers provide the versatility to adjust hair length via the comb attachments provided. Electric Shavers Shaver's are used for a quick, close and painless shave. The electric shaver focuses on keeping your skin as smooth as possible but avoiding those nasty nicks and cuts. A replacement for a razor black, an electric shaver is a convenient way to to get that clean bald look.   Still confused?  Both are very effective, it is a matter of personal preference, individual needs, and shaving habits. Know your grooming requirements first, then choose the right tool for the job.  Take a look at our product range, we have a number of trimmers, shavers and multi-grooming kits (which has attachments for all).
