FAQs

No, you do not. While the Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to use the advanced remote control features via your smartphone, every smart kettle in our range also features a manual digital control panel on the base or handle. You can still select your preferred temperature and start the boil directly on the unit without a phone or internet connection.

Yes, smart kettles are significantly more eco-friendly. By heating water to the exact temperature needed (for example, 80°C for white tea) instead of a full boil every time, you use less electricity. Additionally, the keep warm function prevents the need for multiple re-boils, which is often the most energy-intensive part of using a kettle.

Most of our Wi-Fi-enabled kettles are compatible with major voice assistants. Look for "voice control" in the product specifications to find models that work with Alexa or Google Assistant. This allows you to say, "Alexa, turn on the kettle," from another room, making your morning routine even more seamless.

Different beverages require different temperatures to extract the best flavour. Boiling water (100°C) is perfect for black tea, but can burn the delicate leaves of green and white teas, making them taste bitter. Similarly, barista-grade coffee is best brewed between 91°C and 96°C. A temperature control kettle ensures you never scorch your beans or leaves.

Cleaning a smart kettle is just as easy as a traditional one. You can use a standard descaling solution or a natural mixture of white vinegar and water. Most of our models feature removable limescale filters and high-quality stainless steel or borosilicate glass interiors that are easy to wipe clean, ensuring your smart sensors stay accurate.

Standard kettles boil water to 100°C, which can actually scorch delicate tea leaves and coffee beans, leading to a bitter taste. A variable temperature smart kettle allows you to select the precise heat required for your drink - whether it's 80°C for green tea, 90°C for Oolong, or 95°C for a rich coffee. By controlling the heat, you unlock the true flavour profile of your favourite beverages.
