Frequently Asked Questions

Most students find a kettle, toaster, and a compact appliance like an air fryer or rice cooker cover the majority of everyday meals. Space in halls is usually limited, so multi-purpose sets - like a kettle and toaster combo - are a popular way to cover the basics without cluttering a small kitchen.

Bundles are usually better value if you need most of the included items, since they're priced lower than buying each product seperately. If you already own some essentials, buying individual pieces might work out cheaper overall.

Air fryers are generally more compact and faster for smaller portions, making them well suited to single-serving student meals. Mini ovens offer more capacity if you're cooking for housemates or want to bake, but take up more counter space.

This varies by university, so it's worth checking your accommodation's guidelines before bringing anything with a heating element. Many halls restrict high-wattage appliances or open-coil devices, but standard kettles, toasters, and air fryers are typically permitted.
